Rosa Luxemburg, Virginia Woolf, Frida Kahlo, and Indira Gandhi: they all fought for equal rights and opportunities for women. At the beginning of the 21st century there is no reason to see the process of emancipation as completed. Equal opportunities are still out of reach for women in many countries and in some areas. Some attainments are even under threat because of the economic and social crisis. But could it be that in a world desperate for new paths, women could open new perspectives? This Super Lecture gives a new recent view of the history of women’s emancipation.
The Super Lecture will be held in Dutch.
